A considered collection, with a person behind it.

I am Alexei Udall. I run marketing and business development for AI companies by day, and I build Model Context Protocol servers because the tools I want an agent to use do not always exist yet. GIMP is the clearest case: every image tool an agent could reach gave it pixels back and nothing else, so I built one that gives it layers, measurements and a render after every step.

MCP Rack is the board for that work. Each server has its own page with the package, the transport, the licence, whether it is in the official MCP Registry, and a one-line install. The journal adds practical guides, field notes and release notes, with direct sources where the details matter.

The rule for the rack

The rack lists servers built by other people. It is not a directory and it does not try to be one: the official registry and the aggregators that read it already do that. A server earns a card by being wired into my tools and used. If I stop using it, the card goes.

Machine-readable

Agents get the same information people do. servers.json carries every server on the board with its install command. llms.txt summarises the site for assistants. The agent guide documents the full catalog, schema and Markdown interfaces. Every published post is in the RSS feed, and every page carries structured data.

How this site is built

Astro, static output, no framework on the client, no tracking. Fonts are self-hosted. The build fails on em dashes and marketing filler, which is the same gate the astraeus.ie site runs. Source is on GitHub under the MIT licence.
